The Sentient Interface

When you open Sentient, you’ll be greeted by an intuitive interface designed to make interacting with your AI assistant as smooth and personalized as possible. Let’s break down the main components of the Sentient interface:

1. The Home Page

The Home Page is your starting point every time you open Sentient.

• Creating New Chats:

  • Click the “Create Chat” button to start a fresh conversation.
  • Newly created chats will appear on the sidebar for easy access.

• Managing Chats:

  • Rename or delete chats directly from the sidebar by clicking on the appropriate icons on the chat button.
  • This helps you organize your conversations based on topics, tasks, or projects.

  

2. The Sidebar

The Sidebar is your navigation hub in Sentient. It’s where you can manage your chats and access key features.

• Chat List:
  • All your active chats are listed here for quick switching between conversations.
• Navigation Buttons (Bottom of Sidebar):
  • Profile Page: View and manage your personal data, social media integrations, and personality profile.
  • Settings Page: Customize Sentient’s behavior, manage agent permissions, and adjust system preferences.
  • Logout Button: Safely log out of your Sentient account when you're done.

3. The Chat Page

The Chat Page is where all the magic happens! This is your space to interact with Sentient.

• Starting a Conversation:

  • When you open a chat for the first time, you can:
    • Choose from predefined example chat prompts to see Sentient’s capabilities.
    • Or simply start typing in the chat bar below.

• Using the Chat Bar:

  • Type your message naturally, or use slash commands to activate agents (e.g., /gmail send to send an email).
  • Press Enter or click the Send Message button to submit your message.

• Additional Chat Functions:

  • Reset Chat History Button: Clears the current conversation while keeping the chat open, allowing you to start fresh without creating a new chat.
  • Reinitiate Server Button (Top-Right Corner):
    • This resets the Python backend in case of performance issues or errors. It's useful if Sentient isn’t responding as expected.
